Our work at Youth For Christ exists in the overlap of God's story, our story and the story of a young person. At the core of our ministry, we meet kids at pivotal moments to build lasting relationships in which God can work.
Through our City Life programs, we provide a safe, fun place for teens where they will be accepted, encouraged to make good decisions, and provided positive opportunities to become all that God has called them to be.

Volunteer Needs:
Ministry Leader
Ministry Leader
Position Summary: Christian adult volunteer who engages in relational ministry with young people.
FOCUS: The main focus is developing authentic Christ-sharing relationships with lost teens by spending time at the City Life Center and events, having fun and keeping the environment safe. There is the additional option of overseeing a small group of 5 teens with whom you strategically build relationships and do outside activities.
TIME COMMITMENT: 4-8 hours per week
Teacher/Speaker
Position Summary: Christian adult volunteer who occasionally leads the message time and teaches young people truths about Jesus from God's word.
FOCUS: The main focus is effectively, under submission to the Holy Spirit, leading short lessons that help teens better understand God's word, the gospel, His character, and how that applies to their lives. Additionally, this role would include the duties of a Ministry Leader.
TIME COMMITMENT: 6 - 10 hours per week.
Kitchen Volunteer
Position Summary: Christian adult volunteer with a special focus on preparing and serving meals for our youth programs.
FOCUS: The main focus is preparing, serving, and cleaning up after dinner.
TIME COMMITMENT: 4-6 hours per week
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Child Watch
Position Summary: Christian adult volunteer with a special focus on kids younger than age 11.
FOCUS: The main focus is caring for the young children of Ministry Leaders who would otherwise be unable to volunteer without childcare. Child watch will happen in the City Life Center in separate rooms from the teen ministry.
TIME COMMITMENT: 4-6 hours per week

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keep the kitchen area organized and clean.
- Keep food preparation areas organized and clean.
- Keep kitchen utensils and equipment in good working order and report any problems to the manager.
- Report unsafe conditions to the manager.
- Follow health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Prepare food according to menu standards for cooking time, temperature, presentation, etc.
