Our work at Youth For Christ exists in the overlap of God's story, our story and the story of a young person. At the core of our ministry, we meet kids at pivotal moments to build lasting relationships in which God can work.
Through our City Life after-school programs, we provide a safe, fun place for teens where they will be accepted, encouraged to make good decisions, and provided positive opportunities to become all that God has called them to be.
Volunteer needs
Ministry Leader
A Christian adult who want to spend time, listen, and share the love of Christ with teenagers in one of the most pivotal times of their live. During our weekly club, you will come and hang out with teens, play games, eat dinner with, and enter into a small group conversations after a time of teaching.
Most teens aren’t looking for another friend. They're looking for someone that will listen to them and to know they are cared for.
4-6 hours per week
Teacher
Being a ministry leader as well as sharing the gospel at club once or twice a month. Effectively leading our message time teaching young people the truth about the Bible and who Jesus is.
4-6 hours per week
Meal provider
YFC is all about creating authentic Christ sharing relationships and one way we do that is through dinner. Most of our kids never sit down at home around a table and have a meal together.
Our goal here is to have a meal and dessert to sit around the table over and discuss life and get real with each other.
Once a month serving 20-25 people.
Tutor
Position Summary: Christian adult volunteer with a special focus of helping students after school with their homework.
TIME COMMITMENT: 1-2 hours per week
