Thanks to her Jesus-loving parents, Emma first stepped into a middle school youth group in 6th grade. Though she was quiet and shy at the time, she quickly grew to love the high-energy, welcoming environment - and it was at a youth event that Emma began her personal relationship with Jesus. Throughout her middle and high school years, faithful adult leaders poured into her life, consistently pointing her closer to Christ. Those relationships left a lasting impact and planted the seeds for her desire to one day walk alongside young people in the same way. After high school, God led Emma to serve homeless youth through Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries, where she developed a deep heart for teens in the Kalamazoo community. Today, Emma has the privilege of continuing that calling through Youth for Christ. Emma has seen firsthand that while following Jesus as a young person isn’t always easy, it is always worth it. She is passionate about creating spaces where students can experience the love, hope, and life-changing power of Jesus for themselves.
