ABOUT YFC:
Our work at Youth For Christ exists in the overlap of God's story, our story and the story of a young person. At the core of our ministry, we meet kids at pivotal moments to build lasting relationships in which God can work.
Through our Campus Life programs, we provide a safe, fun place for teens where they will be accepted, encouraged to make good decisions, and provided positive opportunities to become all that God has called them to be.
VOLUNTEER NEEDS
1. MOST NEEDED!! Volunteers to meet one on one with students to biblically talk through students current challenges. Most students need sounding boards and guidance as it pertains to making better decisions. We typically have between 110 and 150 students each week. The need for one on one's is great.
2. Need to assist students during praise and worship. Be examples on how it is done.
3. To assist in one on one continued studies weekly with students
4. Be available on Sundays between 1:30 pm and 4:00 pm. Not every Sunday is needed, but the more your participate, the more effective we as a team become.
EXPECTATIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
We expect each volunteer to be a baptized follower of Christ actively living out loud in their walk with Him. Each person has to understand that the students we are dealing with have had a variety of life challenges and come from all backgrounds of life. Open hearts and open minds are a must. Understand this is not church as usual. Services are non-denominational in nature.
Ministry Site is being held at Silver Star Apartments, 44 Clark Rd N, Battle Creek, MI 49037.
