At six years old, Scott accepted Jesus as his Savior after a VBS meeting at his local church. In the following years, through the influence of some significant Christ-followers in his life, Scott came to understand the doctrine of the Lordship of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. While in college, God got ahold of Scott's heart and the call to ministry became clear. After serving 18 years in vocational ministry around the country and traveling the world sharing the Gospel of Jesus and discipling teenagers in the context of short-term missions, Scott moved into the business world. The next few years were spent managing a number of local businesses and that led to a desire to return to ministry. Scott joined Kalamazoo YFC, for the first time, as the General Manager at Taste of Heaven, putting both ministry and business experience to work to help impact teens. After shifting his focus to Donor Relations and Development for other local Christian organizations, Scott recently sensed the calling back to Kalamazoo YFC. His second role is serving as our Volunteer Coordinator and he gets to multiply ministry by empowering like-minded adults to impact teenagers as they learn what it means to "Give Life With Your Story!" Contact Scott at [email protected].
