Taste of Heaven is a non-profit ministry of Kalamazoo Youth for Christ. Our mission is to help raise funds to impact young people locally, nationally and around the world. In addition, we provide volunteer opportunities and life-skills training for teens and adults. We are blessed to be able to do that through the production and sales of our famous Chocolate Drizzled Caramel Corn.

The Ministry of Taste of Heaven:
Ministry happens directly through Taste of Heaven by the production of our product. Our volunteer staff is made up of area youth, community service workers, students, senior citizens and church groups who produce and sell our popcorn. We partner with local organizations to welcome a variety of volunteers, from youth groups to local public schools, and are excited to impact our area with job training skills and the Word of God! We are incredibly grateful not only for the ways that the Lord uses Taste of Heaven to provide financial support for the ministry of Youth for Christ but also for the ways that we have impacted the lives of many in our community. To view our delicious products and to learn about how your non-profit group can use Taste of Heaven as a fundraiser, please visit us at www.drizzled.org. History: In January 1999, Richland Bible Church handed out single bills of various denominations in unmarked envelopes to those in the congregation. The charge was to invest for the Lord based on the parable of the talents from Matthew 25. Peg Throop found $10 in her envelope. She made caramel corn, drizzled it with chocolate and sold it to friends. On November 28, 1999, the day of reckoning, Peg returned $800 to the church. After much prayer, Taste of Heaven was started. Taste of Heaven became fully owned by Youth for Christ in October of 2005. All profits from Taste of Heaven go directly to fund the ministry of YFC in Kalamazoo and around the world. |
