For most of his life, Tyler has been following Jesus. He was born and raised in the church and gave his life to Christ in third grade at a Christian camp. Tyler was looking for a job back home after being a missionary in Texas for three years and he quickly fell in love with YFC’s mission of reaching lost and unchurched kids. His passion for this ministry is sparked by knowing that there are 31,000 lost teens in Kalamazoo and Battle Creek who are not connected to a caring Christian adult. More specifically, his heart is focused on the needs of students in the mobile home community of Colonial Acres and the uniqueness of ministering to youth in that setting. Tyler is also very passionate about camp! He believes every teen should have a camp experience where they feel the love of Jesus in a way they never have before, just like he did when he surrendered his life to Christ at camp.
