Work Ethics, Entrepreneurship, Readiness, & eXperience!
The W.E.R.X. Program is designed to equip young leaders with the essential skills needed for success in the business world, utilizing the two YFC social enterprises as training grounds. Through a hybrid cohort and classroom model, students engage in paid employment training, committing to a three-year program starting in the latter half of their freshman year. Students gain valuable work experience, dedicating 6 to 15 hours per week. Monthly classroom workshops, held on the first Wednesday of each month, cover life, social-emotional, and business development skills led by YFC staff and community business leaders. This comprehensive, paid program ensures students are equipped for success in the ever-evolving business landscape.
